Lot 10WD Bronze Sculpture Titled 'Spotting the Prey' By Lazy M Ranch Studio
Lazy M Ranch Studio and Sonja Metzler have donated a bronze sculpture titled 'Spotting the Prey'.
The sculpture depicts a bushman hunter who spots prey and kneels down.
The weight of the piece is 19 lbs. and stands 13in. high x 8in. long and 12in. wide.
Sonja says she loves the flexibility of clay, and the permanence of bronze, how three-dimensional art takes up space and allows her to create art from all angles.
She creates sculptures with oil-based clay, built on twisted wire armatures, using her fingertips, palms and tools to manipulate the clay. 'Though I like fine detail in my work, I also like simplicity in composition. Every sculpture I create, is influenced by the beauty I see around me, in nature and in different cultures.'
