The Queen, Sophia Lauren & Catherine Deneuve are some of the many that own the Orhid Pearl. Lake Orhid, where the pearl comes from, straddles the mountainous border of Macedonia. It is one of Europe’s deepest and oldest lakes and it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979.
