Spanish made semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm, circa 1945. This late production pistol was part of a Nazi contracted order that was never delivered, they where sold commercially after the war. (No Waffenamts) This pistol is marked "MRP", for "Marina Republic of Portugal" (Navy), with correct plastic grips. Features a blued finish, 5.36" barrel, blade front sight, notched rear window sight, steel frame, smooth trigger, thumb safety, grip safety, push button magazine release, lanyard loop, and two-piece checkered black plastic "Astra" grips. No import marks. Markings: Slide - UNCETA Y COMPANIA S.A./GUERNICA ESPANA", ""ASTRA" MOD.600/43/9M/M/ PARABELLUM", & "54429"., and "Made in Spain" And M R P. Frame - knights head/"X" inside a shield, star/"P", "P" inside a circle. No magazine. Pistol exhibits approximately 80% of what appears to be it's original blued finish showing moderate holster wear, minor pin-prick pitting on the fore strap, and some handling marks. Action is sound, bore is excellent and grips are very good. NRA Condition is very good as C&R Firearm
