Lot 834a Savage Model 99 .300 Savage SN 386224

Vintage lever action rifle manufactured circa 1939. Features blued finish, case color finger lever, wood forearm, wood shoulder stock with curved grip, schnabel forend, serrated steel factory buttplate, 24" barrel, raised post/bead front sight, sporting rear sight. Fixed rotary magazine with brass cartridge counter, safety/lever lock behind serrated trigger, cocking indicator on tang. Bore looks very good and bright. Finger lever retains very little faded case color. Blue has dulled but is mostly all there, some handling loss on the receiver, and edge wear. Mounted with an unmarked scope, with a Williams base. Wood is in good condition but used, no cracks and only a few minor dings with an old repair consisting of to circler matching wood plugs in the buttstock, black plastic grip cap.
