'Jean François'. Theodore Gechter (1779 -1844) was a French sculptor who was known for heroic figures, portrait busts and animal sculptures. Bronze Sculpture by Gechter which depicts a female Indian Warrior riding atop her horse. They are leaping over a rock and the huntress is aiming her bow & arrow at a large Mountain Lion, coming out from underneath the rock. Signed on base. This fine-quality bronze sculpture has an old dark patina and it measures 20"x21".
