SN: 418 mfg 1890. American made shotgun in the style of Frank Wesson firearms. Break-open, single-shot , The front trigger opens the action. 30 1/4" Damascus barrel. "Hyde & Shattuck Co. Hayfield Mass" on left frame. (Very Faint) Bore is poor, rust/pitting. Action lock-up is loose. Metal finish has turned a brown/gray patina with scattered pitting. Wood is sound with scratches/dents. Has been varnished. Tang and buttplate screws appear to be old replacements. NRA Condition-Fair. Antique firearm.
