U.S. Miltary issued single shot percussion pistol. 8.5" barrel with brass front sight. Hinged ramrod. Brass combination barrel band/serpentine. Brass triggerguard and reinforcement at the butt. Action is crisp/tight. Wood is good with minor scratches/dings. Barrel/lock plate has turned a brown patina with pin-prick pitting. All marking are clear. Lock plate marked "Middtn Conn 1851" and "US H. Aston & Co." Inspectors marked with "H" and "W" NRA Condition-Near Very Good. Antique Firearm.
