Type 19 WW2 Officers Kyu-Gunto sword. This sword is a Army Field Grade Sword (Major-Colonel) This is evidenced by the Cherry Blossom /Floral design on the back strap of the hilt. 26" blade. Rayskin, wire-wrapped grips. Brass plated pommel, backstrap, and guard. Missing the Cherry Blossom scabbard release button on right grip. Steel scabbard. Blade has a couple of small nicks to the edge.
