^Lot 4314 18th CENTURY GREAT LAKES STYLE BRASS PIPE TOMAHAWK

HAVING PEWTER MOUNTED HAFT. 6 1/2" Head, 2 1/2" cutting edge, 20 3/4" haft. Engraved leaf design on blade, flower on one side of eye, & howling Wolf design on the other, elongated bowl has geometric design. Top edges have punched circles surrounding eye. The haft has pewter bands decorated w/ leaves like blade. CONDITION: very good overall, the iron has rust, pitting & nicks in cutting edge, brass has medium mustard patina. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of John "Tim" Breth Jr. (02-13789/JS). $3,000-4,000.
