MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 43 Spanish (?). NSN. Bbl. 35” w/ flip up tangent rear sight & silver bead front sight. Typical action w/ Remington markings on top tang. Last patent date is 1888. American walnut stock is fitted w/ steel buttplate & has sling eye on bottom. Matching long forend w/ steel tip & cleaning rod is held by 3 bands. Center band stamped w/ a crown. CONDITION: good overall. Bbl. retaining a considerable amount of its original blue. Action w/ all case hardening turning silver w/ considerable rusting & pitting. Stocks have most of their original oil finish. Fair bore w/ strong rifling, pitted throughout. Mechanically good. (01-18790/MGM). ANTIQUE. $400-600.
