Cal. 62. NSN. Bbl. 36" w/ brass blade front sight & original single leaf rear sight. Bored to smooth bore. 1864 Dated Springfield lock. Stock is cut & thinned to sporter configuration w/ added pewter nose cap & open cut for key. Tulip tipped iron ramrod held on 2 solder fastened plain iron pipes. CONDITION: metal has dark patina appearance w/ light pitting in breech area. Sound lock. Bore is generally smooth. Stock has heavy added finish over wear, cracks, chips & marks. (01-18666/DS).
