Cal. about 62 (18 Ga.). NSN. Bbl. 34 3/8" w/ open hole for front bead. 1862 Dated lock. Pin fastened full length stock w/ iron nose cap & fittings having nail fastened cover & thimble area. Iron ramrod w/ oct. shank at tip. Left ear of stock has remnants of cartouches. CONDITION: metal has faded to smooth brown patina w/ pitting in breech area. Stock has worn finish w/ numerous dents & handling marks showing some erosion above lock. Nipple is hammered flat. Bolster screw is replacement. Lightly pitted bore. (01-18204/DS). ANTIQUE. $600-900.
