Late-WWII era Japanese military bolt action short rifle chambered in 7.7mm Japanese, manufactured circa 1944-1945. Features a blued finish, 25.9" barrel, dovetailed inverted 'v' front sight, fixed aperture rear sight, two barrel bands with bayonet lug on the forward band, straight bolt handle with small cylindrical knob, internal box magazine with hinged floorplate, smooth trigger, smooth cocking piece with safety knob, defaced mum on the receiver, sling swivels on the left side of the rifle, short smooth wood handguard and semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with wood buttplate. Serial numbers match on the receiver, extractor and bolt handle with no other numbers observed. Rifle retains traces of bluing while the majority of the metal surfaces display an aged brown/bronze patina with some scattered pitting. The action is sound, the bore appears excellent and the wood stocks are good showing a light refinish. Condition is NRA Good. ***C&R Firearm***
