Lot 897a 20CE-16 COLT LIGHTENING
Colt Lightning Magazine fed pump action rifle in .38-40 caliber with 26” octagon barrel, full mag, and rifle butt, S/N 4956. Early production with open top and safety in trigger guard. Good to very good conditionshowing 30&-50% original blue mixed in a brown patina on the barrel on the tube. The frame is brown with traces of blue. Lightly visible rampant Colt on the left side of the frame. Good address. The wood is good withnormal wear to checkering on the fore end, some scratches, dings, mars and minor imperfections. The action is working and the bore is worn but at least fair with some erosion and minor pitting. (Antique) Est.:$1200-$2400
