^Lot 3853 US M1881 CAVALRY DRESS HELMET.

Helmet has a 1 piece black felt body. A cavalry eagle is attached to the front w/ a "7" in the center of the shield. Side buttons are cavalry. Gilded brass eagle plume holder w/ yellow plume. Full sized yellow cords are attached to the helmet w/ correct cords guides. Interior vent cover is marked "RAYMOLD & WHITLOCK". CONDITION: helmet is solid but quite dusty. Interior shows some light wear & there is a bit of fraying to the cords however they do remain functional. (02-12844/BF). $400-600.
