^Lot 3783 GROUP OF 5 FINE MODEL 1880 US ARMY HUNTING KNIVES.

These “all purpose” knives were made at Springfield Armory, 8 1/2” x 2” blades designed for use in the west by all troops. 2 knives have Watervliet Arsenal brass & leather mounted scabbards. Serial numbers 1205, 1428, 3662 & other 2 knives are unnumbered but marked “US / 1892”. CONDITION: very good to fine overall, blades vary from very good to fine w/ sharpening, some luster w/ staining & pitting, markings are all discernable on knives & scabbards.
