^Lot 3724 BRITISH SILVER HILTED OFFICER'S SWORD.

Overall length: 36 1/2”. Blade length: 30 1/2”. Plain blade w/ a single lg. fuller. Silver hilt w/ a single branch off the knuckle bow. Heart shaped guard. Rnd. pommel. Silver wire wrapped grip. Black leather scabbard w/ silver throat & brass tip. Several hallmarks appear at the top of the knuckle bow. The date letter “t” indicates mfg. in 1790. CONDITION: blade has a light gray cleaned finish. Guard has several shallow minor dents. Branch has a partial break where it meets the guard. Quillon is missing. Hilt is a bit loose. Scabbard is a bit flexed possibly w/ an improper throat for the scabbard itself. Scabbard has questionable association w/ this particular sword. (02-13568/BF). $700-1,000.
