This is an honest, original & complete scarce American knife w/ original sheath, 18 1/4" overall in sheath, blade 11 3/4". CONDITION: good to very good overall, blade has discernable “AMES MFG CO / CABOTVILLE / 1849” on ricasso & “US / WD” on opposite ricasso, brass cross guard is also inspected “WD” & “JWR”, blade overall clean w/ sharpening & pitting, 2 piece wood slab grip has hand worn patina w/ scattered sm. cosmetic blemishes, correct brass mounted sheath has no discernable inspector, is missing 3 mt. attachment pins & frog button.
