Cal. 44. NSN. Bbl. 3 1/4" of twist steel w/ German silver blade front sight. Plain iron lock w/ added initials "LW". Key fastened walnut stock w/ checkered birds head grip. German silver fittings include trigger guard, butt cap plate, nose cap, lockplate extension & right side key escutcheon. Left side key escutcheon is a brass replacement. Faceted iron thimble. Ramrod not present. CONDITION: metal finish is fading to mottled gray showing scattered light pitting. Wood has dark worn appearance showing scratches & marks. Dark pitted bore w/ partially intact rifling. (01-17697/DS). ANTIQUE. $300-500.
