^Lot 1103 LUFTWAFFE LEATHER FLAK HELMET SSK-90.

This is the Model SSK-90 made exclusively by the firm of Siemens. It was used by crews of the Heinkel -111 bombers for protection over their flight helmets. There are thin steel plates under the dark brown leather body and a reinforced leather comb on the top. This example is complete w/ the leather harness & has brown cloth liner which was meant to fit over size 57-59 flight helmets. CONDITION: rayon Siemens tag w/ nomenclature is intact.
