Lot 820 19RH-46 DBL PEPPERBOX
American Kentucky Double Barrel Buck and Ball gun with artificially striped stock and large “whale’s tail” type patch box. Measures 53” overall with 38” barrels of approximately .60 caliber smoothbore barrels. V notch and bead sights. The rib and barrels show old repair and re-soldering probably during period of use. The stock is very good with most restored violin type varnish. The front of right hammer shows a break and lossand in not coking (Mainspring broken or missing). The left hammer cocks and works well. The locks have been lightly cleaned and no ramrod is included. From an old Northern California gold rush area collection.(Antique) Est.: $700-$1400
