Modern Reproduction Single Shot Percussion Rifle, with leather sling, #305505, .58 cal., 23'' octagonal barrel, with large dovetailed bead-blade front and sliding-leaf rear sights, marked ''I'' within a rectangular cartouche, ''Black Powder Only/Made in Italy,'' ''Cal .58,'' ''305505'' and various proofmarks on left angled flat, and a three-line warning on right angled flat; lockplate with cast floral motif, double set triggers; blackened triggerguard, single barrel key with two oval escutcheons, nosecap, and ferrule (with sling swivel) retaining the brass-tipped hardwood ramrod; oil-stained European walnut halfstock is checkered at forearm and wrist, has a raised apron opposite the lock, left-side cheekpiece, lower sling swivel, and red rubber butt pad. Condition is very good. Barrel retains approx. 95% deep blue-black finish, the blackened parts have most of their finish, hammer and nipple bolster with rust that should easily clean. Stock is sound and smooth with light use/handling marks, russet sling is very good. Action is crisp; bore is brilliant with deep rifling, and likely unfired. Est.: $150-$350. (No FFL Required)
