Commemorative ''Kentuckian'' Percussion Rifle, #55700, .50 cal., blued 35.25'' octagonal barrel, with vacant front dovetail and notched rear sight, marked ''Kentuckian'' on top flat, ''Taylor's & Co., Inc. 895 of 925'' on right angled flat, and an encircled ''AC''/Armi Sport - Italy/Black Powder Only Cal. 50'' on left; case hardened floral-engraved lockplate and matching hammer; brass furniture including a large sideplate, triggerguard with rear fingerrest, crescent buttplate with long upper and lower tangs (needs fitting at bottom), three ferrules retaining the brass-tipped hardwood ramrod, nose cap, and fancy pierced patchbox having a circular NRA logo inset into lid and the motto ''From my cold dead hands!/895 of 925/(facsimile signature of Charleton Heston)''; oil-finished walnut fullstock. Condition is near fine. Barrel, percussion bolster and trigger retain approx. 95% blue, with scattered light scratches, the brass parts forming a light patina. Stock is sound and smooth with very minor marks but for two dings/small losses at right-side juncture with barrel. Edges and markings are sharp; action is crisp; bore is unfired with blue inside and sharp rifling. Est.: $250-$450. (No FFL Required)
