Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle, #829302, .30 WCF (.30-30 CF) cal., 26'' barrel, with dovetailed bead-blade front sight and adjustable rear sight (marked ''D.W. King, Jr./Pat. Mar. 5, 07.''), stamped with maker's name, address and 1894 patent date, and ''Nickel Steel Barrel/Especially for Smokeless Powder'' on left side, and ''.30 W.C.F.'' at breech; tubular full-length magazine; receiver is marked ''Model 1894/Winchester'' and trademark on upper tang, and ''829302'' at bottom front edge; loop operating lever; oil-stained walnut forearm with steel nosecap, and matching buttstock with crescent steel buttplate. Mfg'd 1918. Condition is very good. Barrel retains approx. 20% blue in protected areas, mag tube with 85% blue; receiver, hammer and buttplate are gunmetal gray with scattered minor discoloration. Stocks are sound and smooth with light use/handling marks, with a deer head and 21 ''kill notches'' carved at right butt. Action is smooth and crisp; bore is clean with defined rifling.
