Custom Remington Model 700 Bolt Action Single Shot Rifle, #A6263605, barrel is unmarked but consignor states it is .221 Fireball cal., 23'' free-floating barrel, blue finish, mfg'd without sights; green and white pistol-grip fiberglass benchrest stock with laminate wood buttplate; stock has an approx. 3'' flat-bottomed forend. Top of receiver with a base for Weaver style scope rings; left side is drilled and tapped for a receiver sight, with one-piece aluminum triggerguard. Metal rates as very good retaining approx. 95% blue finish. Right side of barrel along stock line with three drilled and tapped holes that extend approx. 1/8'' below surface. Muzzle wear, as well as thinning near receiver, accounts for most of the finish loss. Stock is excellent showing just light handling marks. Safety has been removed; action is smooth; bright bore with excellent rifling. Est.: $500-$700. (Modern)
