Sporterized Model 98 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, #17X, 8x57mm cal., 23.6'' barrel, blued/bright finish, walnut Monte Carlo stock, no sights, with two scope mounts. Marked on receiver ring ''1940'', and on left side receiver rail ''Mod.98''. Intact German Eagle stamps on left side barrel and receiver. Mismatched number on bolt handle. Condition overall is very good with almost all of the reblued finish remaining on the metal, the bright bolt with rust spots. Stock is close to excellent with a few light handling marks.
