^Lot 995 Canadian Long Branch Bolt Action Training Rifle

Canadian Long Branch Bolt Action Training Rifle, NVSN, a non-gun with training barrel fitted, blued finish, hardwood stock, blade front sight with protecting ears and peep fixed rear sight. Stamped on right side of receiver ''LONG BRANCH TRAINING RIFLE 1944'', and on pistol grip with ''(Broad Arrow)/C'' stamp. ''OL2271'' is stamped into underside of forend. Made to train WWII Canadian soldiers by replicating the weight and sight picture of the No.4 Lee-Enfield rifle. Condition overall is very good with approx. 60% finish remaining on metal parts which show an overall light brown patina. Wood shows scuffing and handling marks but is very good overall. Metal triggerguard is slightly bent. Two holes have been drilled in the butt forward of the toe. Rifle has been modified by removing the two small target spikes at the muzzle and the spring on the buttplate. Receiver and barrel group are loose in stock. Action is smooth. Est.: $200-$350.
