Marlin Model 94 Lever Action Rifle, #D8939, .32-20 CF cal., blued 24'' half-round half-octagonal barrel, with dovetailed blade front and folding single-leaf rear sights, marked with maker's name, address, and 1887-89-93 patent dates in two lines on top flat, and ''32-20'' at breech; blued tubular half-magazine; case hardened receiver with side ejection, two screw-filled holes on top and a screw-adjustable peep tang sight, marked ''D8939'' at lower front; loop operating lever; varnished walnut forearm with steel nose cap, matching buttstock with steel crescent buttplate. Mfg'd 1947. Condition is near fine. Barrel retains approx. 95% original blue, mag tube 50%; receiver, lever and hammer show muted case colors, buttplate shows a smooth gunmetal-brown tone. Stocks are sound and smooth showing just minor marks of age and use. All edges and lettering are crisp. Action is smooth; bore is dirty toward muzzle but with defined rifling. Est.: $600-$800. (C&R)
