Smith & Wesson Model 40-1 Centennial Double Action Revolver, #BFP1477, .38 Spec. cal., 1-7/8'' barrel, blue finish, factory checkered walnut grips with S&W medallions, smooth color case hardened trigger, shrouded hammer. Condition is good retaining approx. 93%-95% original blue, metal with general small surface nicks and scratches; sides of the grip frame underneath the grips are rusted and would improve with a good cleaning. All of the factory lettering is clear, screw head slots are straight. Grips retain most of their original finish with small impressions and other moderate handling wear. Crisp action, excellent bore.
