South African P.A.F. Junior Semi-Automatic Pistol, #A3966, .25 ACP cal., 2-1/8'' barrel, blue finish. Original checkered white plastic grips each with ''PAF'' logo on the upper half; grips screws are hex head replacements. Standard integral U-shaped sight groove, with one blued steel magazine. The ''PAF'' logo is also on both the front right and left side of the slide; left side of slide also reads ''JUNIOR/VERVAARDIG IN SUID-AFRIKA/MADE IN SOUTH AFRICA''; left side triggerguard ''PAF''. In two-piece plain cardboard box with firearms information handwritten on the edge. Condition overall is very good+. Approx. 97% blue finish remains with brownish toning in protected areas. Slide with general slight handling marks. Grips show a few spots of normal mild discoloration from age and overall show very little handling wear. As is common with the grips on these pistols, the left grip has a thin crack below the upper border; right grip with a small hairline crack at the lower screw. Fine action and bore. Box shows age and wear with splits at a few of the corners. Approx. 10,000 of these pistols were produced circa 1954-1957. Seldom seen with white grips. Est.: $250-$400. (C&R/PPT)
