Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle, #220816, .32-40 CF cal., blued 26'' octagonal barrel, with dovetailed bead-blade front and adjustable buckhorn rear (missing its elevator) sights, marked with maker's name, address and 1894 patent date on left angled flat above nose cap, and ''Nickel Steel Barrel/Especially for Smokeless Powder'' and ''32-40'' at left breech; blued tubular magazine; receiver is marked ''Model 1894/Winchester'' (balance obscured) on upper tang, and ser. no. at lower front; case hardened loop operating lever and hammer; oil-stained walnut stocks, forend with steel nose cap, buttstock with steel crescent buttplate. Mfg'd 1901. Condition is good. Barrel retains approx. 80% original blue; mag tube, receiver, lever, nose cap and buttplate are a darkening gunmetal gray with scattered spotting. Stocks are smooth and sound with minor marks of age and use. Action is strong and smooth; bore is clean with defined rifling. Est.: $500-$700. (C&R)
