Antique Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle, #110107, .25-35 WCF cal., blued 26'' octagonal barrel, with dovetailed long bead-blade front and buckhorn rear sights, marked with maker's name and address on top flat, ''Nickel Steel Barrel/Especially for Smokeless Powder'' on left angled flat, and ''25-35 W.C.F.'' at breech; blued tubular magazine; receiver is marked ''Model 1894/Winchester/Pat. Aug. 21, 1894'' on upper tang, and serial number at lower front; case hardened loop operating lever and hammer; oil-stained walnut stocks, forend with a steel nose cap, buttstock with a steel crescent buttplate. Mfg'd 1897. Condition is very good. Barrel and mag tube retain approx. 75% original blue (with perhaps some later cold-blue touch-up); receiver, nose cap and buttplate are a cleaned gunmetal gray. Stocks are solid and smooth with minimal marks, two filled areas on left forearm, and a thin later coat of varnish or linseed oil. Action is strong and smooth; bore is clean with general erosion and defined rifling. Est.: $700-$1,100. (Antique)
