Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle, #820941, .30 WCF (.30-30 CF) cal., blued 26'' barrel, with dovetailed blade front and adjustable notched rear sights, marked with maker's name, address and 1894 patent date on left side above nosecap, ''Nickel Steel Barrel/Especially for Smokeless Powder'' and ''30 W.C.F.'' at left breech; blued tubular magazine; receiver is marked ''Model 1894/Winchester/Trade Mark Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. & Fgn.'' on upper tang, and serial number at lower front; case hardened loop operating lever and hammer; varnished walnut stocks, forend with steel nose cap, buttstock with steel crescent buttplate. Mfg'd 1917. Condition is fine. Barrel and mag tube approx. retain 90% smooth original blue; receiver is a cleaned gunmetal gray; lever, nose cap and buttplate are a darkening gray. Stocks are smooth and sound with light marks of age and use (a shallow scrape at right wrist), and pleasing grain and color. Action is strong and smooth; bore is dark with defined rifling.
