Winchester Model 70 XTR Bolt Action Rifle, with Bausch & Lomb Scope, #G1454588, .222 Rem. cal., 24'' heavy barrel, blue finish, barrel is drilled and tapped for sights, bolt mounted safety; one-piece walnut Monte Carlo cheekpiece stock is checkered at the forend and pistol-grip with a gloss finish, black plastic Winchester buttplate, ebony forend and grip cap, rear swivel stud, Harris ultra-light 1A2 bi-pod. Topped with a Bausch & Lomb 6-24x40mm scope on Redfield mounts; scope with duplex reticle, gloss black finish, 5'' sunshade, and plastic lens covers. Metal appears near new and retains approx. 98%+ original blue, with a few scattered slight handling marks; factory lettering is crisp and clear. Stock rates about fine and retains nearly all of its semi-gloss finish; left side below the receiver with an area of shallow pressure marks that are really only visible when the rifle is held at a 45-degree angle; left side grip checkering with a dime-sized flat spot; otherwise, stock with only minor handling marks. Action is smooth and functions properly; bright, clean bore. Scope is also excellent with light scope ring marks to the exterior; optics are bright and clear. Est.: $700-$900. (Modern)
