Smith & Wesson First Model Hand Ejector Triplelock Double Action Revolver, #8983, .44 S&W Spec. cal., 6.5'' barrel, blue finish, matching numbered checkered walnut grips with S&W medallions. Shipped Aug. 25, 1914, to Western Arms & Sporting Goods Co., Salt Lake City, UT, with factory letter signed by S&W Historian Roy G. Jinks. Condition is excellent retaining approx. 97% original factory high polish blue, with light wear at muzzle, as well as light flaking in cylinder flutes, with very light index mark to cylinder.
