Very Early Colt Model 1883 Side-by-Side Shotgun, #350. 12 ga. 30'' Damascus barrels have 2-3/4'' chambers and are choked IM/IM, with correct Colt marking on rib. Action features double underlugs with doll's head extension, double triggers, auto safety and plain extractors. Receiver is lightly engraved around hinges and borders, with patent dates on bottom. Splinter forend and round-knob pistol-grip buttstock are of nicely grained walnut, and feature an ebony forend tip and original Colt Bakelite buttplate. Mfg'd 1884. Condition is antique very good, with much wear to checkering, several chips to forend, possible old reblue to receiver and probable cold reblue to barrels. Action locks up tight and appears to function correctly; bores are very good. Est.: $700-$900. (Antique)
