Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle, #202074, .30 WCF (.30-30 CF) cal., blued 26'' octagonal barrel, with dovetailed bead-blade front and adjustable buckhorn rear sights, is marked with maker's name, address, and 1894 patent date on top flat, and ''Nickel Steel Barrel/Especially for Smokeless Powder'' and ''30 W.C.F.'' on left angled flat ahead of breech; blued tubular magazine; blued frame is marked ''Model 1894/Winchester'' and 1894 patent date on upper tang; case hardened loop operating lever and hammer; varnished walnut stocks, forend with a steel nose cap, buttstock with a steel crescent buttplate. Mfg'd 1900. Condition is fine. Barrel and mag tube retain approx. 85% original blue; receiver with 10% blue to right side and otherwise with a smooth gunmetal patina; case hardened lever and hammer have mostly darkened/silvered out. Stocks are solid and smooth with light marks of age and use, nice grain and color, a hole drilled in belly (perhaps for a sling swivel), and a likely later coat of varnish. Action is strong and smooth; bore is bright with defined rifling. Est.: $700-$1,000. (C&R)
