^Lot 1065 Sporterized British No. 4 Mk 1 Lee-Enfield Rifle

Sporterized British No. 4 Mk 1 Lee-Enfield Bolt Action Rifle, #C36920, .303 British cal., 22'' barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock, blade front sight on aftermarket ramp and military issue two-position flip rear sight. Engraved on left side of receiver ''No 4 Mk 1'', and stamped on left side action body ''M47C'' along with an ''ENGLAND'' import/export stamp. Rifle has been sporterized by shortening the barrel, stock, and magazine case, and removing many of the military issue parts and fitting a commercial sling swivel to the forend. Condition overall is very good as sporterized, with over 95% of the reblued finish remaining on the metal. Stock is very good with applied varnish and overall handling marks. Action is smooth, bore is dark and rough with visible rifling. Early import stamped on left side of chamber and action body. Est.: $150-$250. (Modern)
