^Lot 1060 Sporterized Remington Model 1903 Bolt Action Rifle

Sporterized Remington Model 1903 Bolt Action Rifle, with Weaver scope, #3291440, .30-06 cal., 24'' barrel, blue finish, no sights, and topped with a Weaver K4 scope and Weaver 1'' rings; scope with a fine crosshair reticle. Bolt body and extractor have been polished bright. Rifle has also been fit with a one-piece walnut Sporter stock with a Monte Carlo cheekpiece, pistol grip, sling swivel studs, and vented brown rubber Mershon recoil pad. Condition is very good overall as modified from its original military configuration. Approx. 97% reblued finish remains; majority of the receiver has toned to a plum color; receiver ring with the original military markings; barrel is almost completely blank with the exception of a few illegible numbers at the top middle. Stock shows very few small handling marks and with a nice even color, finish has thinned a little near the rear swivel stud. Action is smooth; bore with a few very minor peppered spots and is otherwise nice and clean with excellent rifling. Scope exterior rates very good showing normal light wear and ring marks, optics are clear. Est.: $200-$300. (Modern)
