Reproduction Halfstock Large Bore Percussion Sporting Rifle, by Cabela's, #A513133, .50 cal., 21'' blued heavy octagonal barrel with dovetailed long bead-blade front and adjustable open rear sights marked on right angled flat ahead of breech with a three-line cautionary message, ''Cabela's, Inc. Sidney, NE.'' on top flat, and a rectangular ''I'' logo, ''Black Powder Only/-Made In Italy-'' in two lines, ''Cal. 50'' and the serial number on left angled flat. Engraved flush-mounted case hardened lockplate and matching hammer; double set triggers; steel furniture including lock screw and escutcheon, triggerguard with rear hand-rest, ramrod thimble with sling mount (but no ring), single barrel wedge and escutcheon, nosecap, and lower buttstock sling mount (but no ring); brass-tipped hardwood ramrod; oil-stained walnut halfstock with left-side cheekpiece, checkered panels at wrist and forearm, and rubber buttpad. Condition is as new, probably unfired, the barrel and other steel parts retaining all of their original deep black-blue, the lock and hammer with fiery case colors. Stock with all of its original smooth oil finish with nice color and sharp checkering. Action is smooth and crisp; bore appears new showing blue inside and sharp rifling. Est.: $150-$300.
