Safety Automatic Arms Co. Bolt Action Single Shot Shotgun, NVSN, 16 ga., blued 28'' barrel with post front sight choked IM; blued steel receiver marked on left side ''Safety Automatic Arms Co.'', with company address and U.S. and Canadian patents stamped with individual digits in 5 lines; blued actuating bolt with cartridge extractor, trigger and triggerguard; oil-stained hardwood forend and finely-checkered pistol-grip buttstock with plain steel buttplate. Condition is very good, the barrel retaining approx. 95% blue, the receiver and triggerguard with 75% blue blending with smooth brown patina. Forend is a lighter color (perhaps a replacement), buttstock with a deep chip out at left wrist and otherwise smooth age patina. Action is functional; bore is shiny. A rare one. Est.: $200-$400. (C&R)
