U.S. Property marked Mossberg Model 44US Bolt Action Rifle, #147799, .22 LR cal., 26'' heavy barrel, blue finish, one-piece pistol-grip wood stock, metal buttplate, sling swivels, finger-grooved plastic triggerguard, dovetailed front sight, and Mossberg S-100 Micro Click aperture rear sight. Missing magazine. Top of barrel and receiver are both marked ''U.S. PROPERTY''. Condition is very good with approx. 97% original blue finish; metal with small nicks and handling marks. Factory lettering is clear. Wood with intermittent mostly small impressions and handling marks; right side below the receiver ring and rear portion of the barrel with an area of concentrated horizontal scratches that measure approx. 4'' in length; edge of buttstock near the buttplate with areas of darkening. Parts of the metal are a little tacky from a very thin layer of preservative. Action is smooth; bright bore with excellent rifling. Est.: $250-$400. (C&R)
