Antique European Military Style Single Shot Percussion Pistol, converted from original flintlock, NVSN, approx. .72 cal., 7-7/8'' round thin wall barrel without sights, iron lockplate is unmarked (may retain traces of original markings but illegible), distinctive percussion bolster fitted to original lockplate, iron backstrap runs full-length from barrel tang to buttcap; single brass barrel band, serpentine sideplate marked ''NM'' and with proofmark, brass triggerguard with long lower tang, brass buttcap. One-piece European walnut stock with raised carved areas surrounding the lock and on opposite side. Condition is good showing black powder pitting covering the iron parts under a dark aged patina; brass shows an aged patina; stock is solid with a longitudinal crack (securely repaired but evident) at wrist, and chips missing at front and back of lockplate. Lacks a ramrod. Action is rough but functioning; bore is dark and pitted. Est.: $400-$600. (Antique)
