Germanic Wheelock Dag or ball butt pistol with inlaid stock, original belt hook and ramrod circa about 1600. Mechanism intact. Shows good quality engraving and piercing of wheel cover. Measure 18” overall withflared10” barrel of about .58 caliber smoothbore. The stock is near fine with small loss of wood behind the original belt hook. Inlays show a rich patina and are nearly 100% intact. The inlays are imperfect (Notperfectly round) which indicates early period. (Antique) Est.: $4,000-$8,000
