High quality spear point Bowie knife of Civil War era with odd finger grooves and pearl grip marked “Isaac Rapnes, Sheffield”. Original German silver mounted leather scabbard. Period script inscribed “EdmundJowett” on hilt and on scabbard throat. Re-enforced and very thick ricasso with well-made blade showing raised median ridge at center. Very good plus condition with minor polishing and aging. Almost finescabbard. Measures 12” overall with an 8” bladed. A collector’s quality Bowie circa 1850s-60s. Est.: $2000-$4000
