Iver Johnson ''Pinkerton'' Double Action Cartridge Revolver, with associated beaded leather holster, NVSN, .32 RF cal., 3'' round hinged top-break barrel with full-length rib marked ''Iver Johnson's Arms & Cycle Works, Fitchburg, Mass. U.S.A. / Patd. Apr. 6 66, Feb. 15 67, May 10 87, Dec. 26 93, Pat's Pending'' in two lines, fluted 5-shot cylinder, fancy checkered hard rubber two-piece grips having the Iver Johnson ''Owl's Head'' logo in a circular cartouche at top. ''Pinkerton'' is etched in large block letters within a flowing riband on right side of frame. Originally finished in full nickel plating, with a blued triggerguard and case hardened hammer and trigger. Condition is very good+, retaining approx. 80%-85% original nickel, the losses mainly confined to left side of the barrel; triggerguard has turned to brown with traces of blue and some case colors showing. Grips are very good with mostly sharp checkering and decorative motifs. Action is smooth and tight; bore appears clean. Holster is very good and complete, with sound beading decoration.
