WWII Walther Model 1928 Heer ac42 Flare Pistol, with holster, #2855b, single action, 26.5mm, 6-1/8'' aluminum barrel, aluminum frame, black finish, checkered black Bakelite grips, with lanyard ring. Left side of frame is marked ''ac42'' and also contains the serial number; right side with two ''(eagle)/359'' Waffenamt marks and one ''(eagle)/heart'' proofmark. Right side of barrel with one each ''359'' Waffenamt and eagle proofmark. In black leather flap holster, no markings, with two hangers for belt or shoulder strap on the backside; inside is a compartment that holds five (5) flares, compartment lid with brass reinforced vertical edges. In fine overall condition with approx. 93% dark finish. Maker's marks, etc. are crisp and clear. Left grip with a few small spots of moderate flattening to the checks and flaking around the screw head; right grips shows only light wear. Action is excellent, operating smoothly with a quick snap open and tight lockup upon closing. Bore is excellent for its age. Holster with general light cracking to the surface, exterior stitching and seams are all intact; interior stitching for the lid of the flare holder with a little fraying along the back right edge. Overall a really nice example of a WWII German flare pistol. Est.: $300-$500. (No FFL Required)
