Chinese Type 53 Mosin-Nagant Bolt Action Carbine, with side folding bayonet, #4010917, 7.62x54R cal., 20.25'' barrel, blue finish, wood stock, hooded post front sight, adjustable tangent rear sight, cleaning rod, and Chinese marked canvas sling with leather collars. Stamped with Chinese characters and ''1956/26'' on barrel shank. Top edge of buttstock with a small ''(triangle)21'', ''(star)'', and other misc. stamps that are not legible. Metal with visible matching numbers; stock is unnumbered. Left side of barrel is import marked. Approx. 50%-60% thinning blue finish remains and rifle rates as very good overall. Factory lettering is mostly clear. Wood with a added coat of finish and a fairly even reddish brown in overall color, with general impressions and handling marks; both the handguard and stock are free of any cracks or major damage. Action is smooth; grooves are moderately frosted; rifling is sharp. Bayonet operates smoothly. Sling shows normal light age and wear. Est.: $150-$300. (C&R)
