Polish M44 Mosin-Nagant Bolt Action Carbine, with side folding bayonet, #RA5596, 7.62x54R cal., 20.25'' barrel, dark blue finish, wood stock, hooded post front sight, adjustable tangent rear sight, cleaning rod, and canvas sling with leather collars; maker's stamp on back of leather is not completely legible. Stamped ''(circle)/11'' and ''1955'' on barrel shank, with numerous small inspection stamps, etc. throughout. Right side of buttstock is marked with a small ''(diamond)E'' and little larger ''(diamond)OW''. Metal with visible matching numbers; stock is unnumbered. Left side of receiver with small imports marks. Approx. 99% blue finish remains and rifle rates as excellent overall. Bolt handle with some mild dark spotting. Wood with a nice even finish and color, showing a small amount of intermittent shallow surface dents and handling marks. Factory lettering is clear. Action is smooth; bore is mint. Bayonet operates smoothly. Sling shows normal light age and wear. Est.: $400-$600. (C&R)
