Stevens Conlin No. 38 2nd Issue Single Shot Cartridge Pistol, #21247, .22 RF cal., 10'' round-to-octagon tip-up barrel marked ''J. Stevens A. & T. Co. / Chicopee Falls, Mass. U.S.A.'' on left flat (approx. 6,000 mfg'd 1884-1903); dovetailed blade front sight and adjustable leaf rear sight. Originally blued barrel, hammer and trigger; nickel-plated steel frame and integral grip straps, triggerguard with finger spur, weighted buttcap, and finely checkered walnut two-piece grips. Condition is very good to fine retaining nearly all of the bright factory nickel plating (thinning a bit at buttcap) and 50% toning barrel blue. Serial numbers match; grip checkering is sharp.
